Two alleged robbers who specialized in killing Uber drivers, stealing their vehicles and other belongings arrested
At around 11.30 pm, last Sunday, the suspects posed as passengers ordered an Uber bus.
While the unsuspected driver was carrying them to their destination in Ajah, he was hit with an axe by the perpetrators.
He lost control of the steering when he entered Abijo Government Reserved Place, Ibeju Lekki.
They then put him in the passenger’s corner and zoomed off.
Motorists who observed the activity alerted the police.
The stolen vehicle was later traced to Ibeju Lekki’s Mayfair Garden, where the perpetrators were arrested and the abducted driver rescued.

However, police seized an axe stained with blood and a knife.
The driver, who was critically wounded, is being treated at a hospital in Lagos State.
