Shatta Wale’s mother, Elsie Evelyn Avemegah, has accused her son of neglecting her
Elsie accused the singer of being a deadbeat son in an interview with Accra-based radio station Hot FM, saying he doesn’t visit her and they haven’t met anywhere in three years.
Shatta’s girlfriend, Magdalen, she claims, caused the strain in their mother-son relationship. Magdalene Luv allegedly told Shatta Wale to cut ties with her because she is a witch.

The irritated mother stated that because her son believes whatever his girlfriend says, he now completely avoids her, rejects her calls, and has not attempted to contact her in three years.
