Brazilian star slams Lionel Messi [SEE HILARIOUS REASON]
Brazil international Thiago Silva has slammed Lionel Messi for his comments towards officiating at 2019 Copa America and thereby urged the Argentine to show respect.
Lionel Messi expressed his annoyance twice at the just concluded 2019 Copa America in Brazil in their match against the hosts and also the third place tie against Chile.
The Barcelona star made some statements against the referee and football authority labeling them as being ‘corrupt’ and his utterances could bring a ban on him.
Thiago Silva who plays for PSG has now reminded Lionel Messi that his team had similar feelings two years ago when Barcelona defeated them in the Champions League.
“This is difficult for us to comment on because sometimes in defeat, we try to focus on other people.
“I think Messi did not say it out of spite, but we are sad because in the game we lost 6-1 to Barcelona, he played the referee which,in my opinion was ridiculous.
“But we did not give a statement that the referee was in favor of Barcelona.
I think you have to show respect,” Silva said according to Goal.
Brazil boss Tite also commented on the outburst of Lionel Messi urging the Barcelona star to be cautious in his action after games.
“The one I treated as extraordinary, as extraterrestrial, needs to have more respect and accept when he is beaten.
“We were harmed by referees in several games. We played fair against Argentina the whole time,” Tite said to Messi.
